"The Oswego Cat Lodge" for luxurious human-sized Cat Suites
For years I have been asked by my Pet Sitting clients to take their kitties into my home for special reasons such as:
* a home renovation
* allergic out-of-town company coming
* bug-bombing
* open house (on the market)
* moving day
As these requests became more frequent, my husband and I found ourselves with our guest bedroom housing furry guests most
days. We even started putting up the occasional cat family in our daughter's room (which meant locking her out). So, I began
my many-months-long search for Cat B&B style accommodations, in a person's home. After literally hundreds of hours of
research, I found a commonality between all of the country's Cat B&Bs... "luxury cat suites" are NOT "luxury
cat suites"
Time and time again, cat boarding facilities CALL themselves a Cat "Bread and Breakfast" when their guests stay
in CAGES! There is another common phrase used, "Private Luxury Cat Rooms" really means "tiny cubical with
litter box and shelf to jump on."
Now, I personally would always leave my cats in the comfort and safety of their own home WITH a qualified Licensed, Bonded
and Insured Pet Sitter caring for them. However, I do now see why there may be circumstances when our kitties may need safe
housing elsewhere for a period.
SO... I have begun remodeling a sweet little cottage in Lake Oswego which will be dedicated to CATS ONLY and they will
in fact have:
* Private Bedrooms to themselves
* No cages!
* Luxury Suites, Jr. Suites, and more extravagant lodging options to fit every kitties budget without compromising their
comfort
As word gets out about our new Cat Lodge, and we become full on a regular basis, I have big plans for many more projects
around the Lodge which will make it an even more inviting place for our beloved Furry Guests!
